Snow leopard update3/27/2023 ![]() ![]() If Fusion 3 doesn't work out for whatever reason, the steps to go back are documented and safe, i.e. ![]() So as a measured approach you can try Snow Leopard first with a supported 2.0.x version, then upgrade to Fusion 3.0.1 separately. One thing you should know is that Fusion 2.0.6 also runs on SL. IMO, Fusion 3 runs very well under SL but there instances where certain users experience high CPU load or slows downs in responsiveness. Snow Leopard you will notice is basically an optimized Leopard, i.e. The change in disk space from GiB to GB that WoodyZ alluded to exaggerated the difference a bit more but there is net space gained. I started using Fusion 3 with Leopard but I wanted to upgrade to Snow Leopard (SL) for some advantages like eliminating all PowerPC code from applications with Universal binaries and gaining the disk space from that. ![]()
